About the event
PURPOSE
The UBC PATHS Case Competition is centered on innovation, patient care, and providing students with the opportunity to hone their problem-solving skills in a beginner-friendly environment. This event serves as a platform to share innovative ideas in order to foster creativity and the generation of solutions that can improve patient care. Our case competition is for those who are passionate about taking action for a cause that matters to them and presenting a solution that could contribute to the next major advancements in this field. The case competition also supports collaboration among individuals with similar interests, bringing them together to solve current problems. An understanding of the complex science behind neurodegenerative diseases is not required, but rather an understanding of the impact these diseases have on patients and their families. Finally, this event aims to create a welcoming environment for undergraduate students to explore a field they may not be familiar with and to delve into potential interests for future educational or career goals.
