About the event
PURPOSE
The purpose of the IDEAthon was to encourage students to think about innovative and novel ideas on how to improve the health-care and quality of life for people living with dementia and for those who care for them (caregivers and healthcare workers). In our beginner friendly environment and through the support provided by UBC PATHS, IDEA Lab, and Alzheimer Society of B.C., we wanted students to develop a case project and build on their problem solving, presentation, and team skills. This was a great opportunity to gain experience and network for anyone interested in the fields of health care, medicine, life sciences, technology, or people centered fields.
