UBC PATHS is excited to present the first Speaker Series of the 2024 academic year, an evening of insightful discussions and networking opportunities. Join us on October 15, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael Kingsmill Forum, UBC Nest, as we welcome two distinguished guest speakers: Dr. Annie Vogel Ciernia and Dr. Martin McKeown. Our esteemed speakers will share their latest research findings, offering attendees the opportunity to engage in stimulating conversations, ask questions, and connect with fellow students and professionals.


Speaker Info:

  • Dr. Martin McKeown is the John L. Nichol Chair in Parkinson’s Research and Head of the Division of Neurology at UBC. Combining his expertise in neurology and engineering, Dr. McKeown specializes in advancing the understanding of Parkinson’s disease and developing innovative non-invasive treatments. Recognized among Stanford University’s “Top 2%” of scientists worldwide, Dr. McKeown has over 280 peer-reviewed publications and leads initiatives at the Pacific…
