Speaker Series #2

We are hosting our second Speaker Series of the year! Please join us to hear Dr. Vanessa Auld, a professor whose research focuses on the basics of brain development, talk about her experiences. You will also have the chance to ask your own questions, and meet like-minded students!

Dr. Auld's work is focused on the basics of brain development; with a focus on glia cells and their roles in the development and functioning of nervous systems. Her lab’s approach is studying glial cells through model systems of Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies) to better understand how glia and neurons interact within nervous systems. Alongside hearing and learning about her research, you’ll also have the chance to ask her questions directly.
