How does UBC PATHS raise awareness?We organize engaging workshops, events, and campaigns that inspire UBC students to advocate for neurological health, aiming to reduce stigma and foster empathy towards those living with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.

In what ways does UBC PATHS support the community?Our Enrichment initiatives provide personal support and enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by neurodegenerative diseases. This is done through fundraising activities, and our community outreach program which provides UBC students with volunteering opportunities at Point Grey Private Hospital and ASK Friendship society.

What are the club sectors of UBC PATHS?UBC PATHS has several committees, each focusing on specific areas: Marketing: Handles promotional activities and social media presence. Community Outreach Program (COP): organizes volunteering opportunities for paths members. Internal: manages team socials and blog posts. Mentorship: Oversees the PATHS mentorship program that connects graduate and senior students with first- and second-year students. Finance: Oversees club finances and membership management. Admin: Responsible for room bookings, meeting minutes, and administrative tasks. Education: Organizes speaker series, educational workshops, case competition, and lab tour. Sponsorship: Brings together sponsors that help support our events throughout the year. Initiatives: Organizes Pit Night, Trivia Night, and other club fundraisers. Along with the PATHS to a Cure Neuroscience Research Conference!

How can UBC students get involved with UBC PATHS?There are a number of different ways students can get involved with UBC PATHS. Students can participate in our events, join our committee or executive teams, and volunteer for our community outreach program. We welcome all who are passionate about supporting the Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s communities!
