Join us to hear Dr. Miriam Spering talk about her journey and experiences. Dr. Spering is an Associate Professor in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UBC, and is the Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education in the Faculty of Medicine. Research in her lab focuses on the interaction between vision and movement in healthy adults and patients with movement disorders. In 2022, Dr. Spering was awarded a Humboldt Fellowship for experienced researchers and the mentorship award of Women in Cognitive Science Canada.  After Dr. Spering's presentation, you will also have the opportunity to ask your own questions or meet like-minded students!
